March saw our first work party in the park since covid. 19 volunteers turned up and the council inspector said we did a great job. Now we will be having a work party on the second Saturday of the month ending in October. The Council have also given us a small grant to purchase necessary tools and safety equipment.

The tree team have completed removing all the unwanted undergrowth that can be reached at the edges of all the woodland at the London Road and Rennels way end of the park. John O'Brien meets the Mayor

I was nominated by local councillors to receive an award for “voluntary service within the community” and had the pleasure of attending a lovely ceremony at the town hall. I was able to take our top volunteer, Billy with me and received a framed certificate from the Mayor.  >>>Very proud<<<

There are over 70 young trees in Thornbury Park including 31 fruit trees in our community orchard. They all need some dedicated care, particularly when we have prolonged dry periods.   Will you adopt one?   All you need to do is weed and mulch it each spring (we provide the mulch) and bring it water

A hardy group turned out after Christmas to plant around 400 bulbs in the area around the London Road entrance and near the skate park and playground. Hoping for a good burst of colour as springtime comes around.
